And these are the current canines, more rescue pups, who would not be in our home if not for Berry Sanders!

A dog among dogs; ridiculously dignified!

Flikr

I've been fighting with flikr which is about as productive as fighting with at toddler: the flikr and the toddler always win! Didn't want to enable the world to see pics of my grandkids, so I labeled them "friends and family only." Which totally complicates the opportunity to share them easily, but is a great way for flikr to get you to invite family and friends to join! Pretty slick - no? Anyway, here are a couple of pics of the canine members of our family. (They don't mind having a public face!)

Moving right along by adding some blogs. That's pretty easy! But I think I'll limit it to five (avoiding overkill). Wish I could click and drag things around to rearrange the page...alas, not possible. And as I learned yesterday, when I changed the page arrangement, I had to redo all the colors and fonts. Yikes! That was a job and 1/2.

Library Thing

Watching the women's NCAA semi-final between Stanford and UConn, and playing with Library Thing.  It takes a while to add titles when I make the effort to flesh out the title entry.  Will it really help me remember what I read?  We'll find out ...

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the link uploaded to this blog.  As I'm learning:  it's one thing to flit about the Web and explore applications - and it's quite another to gather all those disparate experiences together into this one place.

Onward!

Finessing your google search

Check out this slide show (thank you, NIH, for making it available to share!) about maximizing searching with google. Some great tips for using search features that we might not think about, and a great example of using google's web-based presentation software. Great option to microsoft's powerpoint!!! (And it works with a Mac!)
